I'm a few days late with my Teacher Tuesday project this week. We have been sunning, tubing, fishing, boating, swimming, and canoeing at the lake for the past 5 days.....no way I was gonna leave all that to blog! I created these two projects last week before we left on our trip.
I found this idea from Erica and you can see a pic here. I absolutely love the idea of changing a "jobs" chart to a "helping hands" chart. Helping out is so much more appealing than doing a job. I tweaked her idea a little to fit my classroom and I love the way they came out. Sorry the picture isn't that great. I can't wait until I can get into my classroom and get things organized and take some good pics of all my new projects in place. I plan to add velcro to each sign and hand so they can be changed daily.
Last I printed these labels that Jennifer created. You can get them here. I have really been wanting to reorganize my classroom library by genre and these little cuties were just the thing I needed. I still need to print the labels that will go on the spine of each book.....hoping this makes it easier for the kiddos to put things were they go. I'm just planning to use envelope labels with the genre printed on them and then wrap them around the spine of each book.....I have a TON of books.....probably better get started on that soon!
I'm linking up with Tara again at 4th Grade Frolics.
I don't think I will have a Teacher Tuesday project next week because we have been busy doing this for the past 5 days....
and on Sunday we leave again, this time for Colorado to visit my parents. I won't have time to get something completed by then, but plan to be back on track for the following week!

Thanks Jill! I can't wait to get them in my classroom to see how they look. We just found out that construction at our school will hopefully be done by August 10th and school starts on the 21st.....fingers crossed we can get in and still have time to unpack!
